Photography exhibition - They Became Us: The Unlikely Lives of Holocaust Survivors in Ireland

A photography exhibition titled “They Became Us: The Unlikely Lives of Holocaust Survivors in Ireland” was launched on the 3rd of May at the Camerino Bakery Café in partnership with the European Parliament Liaison Office. This extraordinary exhibition at 37 Merrion Square East consisted of striking portraits depicting Holocaust survivors with deep ties to Ireland, alongside symbolic culinary delights that held significance for these individuals.

The esteemed presence of Holocaust survivors Tomi Reichental and Suzi Diamond, as well as second-generation survivors Orla and Jadiza Kaminska and third-generation survivor Caryna Camerino, made the opening event even more poignant. The remarkable exhibition will captivate visitors until May 23rd, providing ample opportunity to engage with the moving stories and images that beautifully honour the lives of Holocaust survivors in Ireland.
